The Screaming Frog SEO Spider is a desktop program for Windows, macOS and Linux that crawls a website the way a search engine bot would and lists every URL it finds. For each URL it reports status codes, redirects, page titles, meta descriptions, headings, canonicals, directives and much more.
Technical SEOs use it for site audits, migrations and checks after a release: finding broken links, redirect chains, duplicate titles or pages blocked by robots.txt. It can render JavaScript, pull data from Google Analytics and Search Console, and run custom extraction to collect any element from pages.
The free version crawls up to 500 URLs, which covers many small sites. A paid license removes the limit and adds features such as scheduling and saved crawls. Because it runs on your computer, large crawls depend on your machine's memory.
